One of the things I really wanted to do on the cruise was go ziplining. We missed the signup deadline before the cruise, so when we got on board the original ziplines we’d planned on doing were sold out (in Saint Kitts), and we had to re-arranged our plans. Anthony, Eric, and I went ziplining while most of our other friends went snorkeling (I hate snorkeling anyhow). It was a lot of fun! It wasn’t as thrilling as I’d imagined, mostly because you have to wait for everyone else to go and they do safety checks on everyone at every platform–but I guess that’s a good thing.
Anyhow, so it was fun, despite getting rained on and being surprisingly chilly. Obviously it’s cold when you’re high up (and it’s raining), but I didn’t anticipate the weather so next time I would bring a hoody just in case!
One thing to note if you’re really lightweight: you might have trouble getting across all the lines. I almost didn’t make it across a few times (and I’m not even that tiny), and this poor kid got stuck multiple times because he didn’t have enough weight to get to the next platform. I was super-jealous of how fast Anthony went–wish I could have hitched a ride on his back! If I ever go ziplining again on a cruise, I’ll wait until the end of the cruise so that I have time to pack on the pounds-haha!
Have you ever gone ziplining? Would you?
