One Year!

One Year Wedding Anniversary
Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary! Well, the legal one, the ceremony was in March. We would have had them together, but Royal Caribbean decided to make it impossible to get married on the ship which resulted in a quick trip the courthouse a few months before the ceremony.

I’m kind of amazed that it’s been a year already! We’ve done so much, including our wedding cruise, moving to another state, and… okay, I guess that’s not that much. But last year seemed to go by in the blink of an eye!

Here’s a mushy paragraph you can skip if you don’t like that kinda stuff: I’m really happy to be married to my best friend, who has supported me through quitting my job, starting a business (or two), sucking at running multiple businesses, and finally figuring out what I want to be when I grow up. He’s a great travel companion, and always tries to make me happy, even when I’m screaming and throwing things. Not that I would. I’m looking forward to many more years with him!

Anyhow, so this weekend we’re going to go out for Vietnamese and bubble tea to celebrate, and next weekend we’re going to go see Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, which should be hilarious. What are you doing this weekend?

  1. Awww! Congratulations! I was actually juuuuust telling Joe that we need to get on top of our thank you cards and mail them out already…before we get to our first anniversary 😛

Vietnamese and comedy sound like a great way to celebrate! We’re actually going to see Bill Burr’s stand up in March, and Joe is incredibly excited for it.

This weekend will be extremely low key for us. We may set netflix up again, and I’ll be max lounging, trying to get my back in tip top shape – now that I’m over my cold, I’m basically incapacitated by my shovelling-induced back pain. I can’t win!

    Have a great anniversary, Erin!

  2. Yay, congratulations!!! Jordan and I have around 3 or 4 different anniversaries, for similar reasons. There’s the day we were legally married (April 1), the day we celebrated our marriage with our friends and family (April 15), the day we actually got together and started dating (October 13), and then opening day for the Oakland A’s which is in the first week of April but is essentially our “marriage celebration day.” Some people have fancy dinners and buy each other gifts for their wedding anniversary — we go to a baseball game. 🙂

Here’s to many more happy years ahead for the two of you! ❤

  3. Congrats on the one year Erin and Vietnamese is one of my faves! Enjoy the weekend because I’m getting snowed in here in Philly!
