So I’m maybe just a biiiiiit behind in posting some adventures back from when Shawnelle was in town. I mean, this was only the beginning of August and now it’s only mid-October. It could be worse!
While Shawnelle was here we took her up to Breckenridge via the Loveland pass, which is always a pretty cool stop at the Continental Divide!
We got into Breckenridge in the late afternoon, checked into our hotel, and Anthony proceeded to fall asleep so Shawnelle went out to explore the town (I would have gone too, but Anthony was sleeping on top of me). We all met up later and got caught in a downpour, so we ended up getting drinks at the Gold Pan Saloon. After that we found some food, and took our soggy selves back to the hotel for the night.
The next morning we wandered Breckenridge, got breakfast, and were stunned by how beautiful it was up there! When I make my first million, that’s where we’ll move!
On our way back down to Denver we stopped by the Dillon Reservoir which never fails to disappoint in terms of beauty! Apparently, Frisco, the cute town near the reservoir is actually more expensive than Breckenridge, so I’ll need to make my second million before we can consider living there.
I think the only things I haven’t blogged yet from Shawnelle’s visit are our adventures in downtown Denver and at Casa Bonita. I’ll try and get those posted soon!

I grew up going to Breckenridge to ski once a year in the winter/early spring. But I’ve never been in the summer and it looks like a completely different place!! And so beautiful, of course. My favorite place to eat in town was Rasta Pasta, which is, just as it sounds, a Jamaican pasta restaurant. It was so yummy!
Ooh, we’ll have to check out Rasta Pasta next time we’re up there! Thanks!
